Humanities Challenge 2023 Slated for October 11 at BSU
Twelve teams will compete for the championship during Bluefield State University’s Humanities Challenge, on October 11, 10 a.m. in the Harris-Jefferson Student Center on BSU’s Bluefield campus. The Humanities Challenge was developed by the BSU Humanities Department as an initiative to promote the study and cultivation of language, literature, the fine arts, music, and writing from around the world.
“We are excited about the growing interest in the humanities at the high school and college levels,” Dr. Bonnie Reese, BSU Professor of Communications, observed. “This year’s field of high school student teams will experience the excitement of participating in a competitive event, and they have already gained a deepening appreciation for the humanities as they prepare for the Humanities Challenge.”
