Fulbright Visiting Lecturer Discusses India’s Traditions & Customs During Presentation at BSC
Fulbright Visiting Scholar Maneesh Pandeya wrapped up an active two-day visit to the region with this morning’s lecture, “India’s Customs and Traditions” at Bluefield State College.
Mandaya, formerly a political journalist with The Times of India and India Today group, is now an executive editor of ITV Network in India. On Monday, he spoke to students at Graham and Tazewell High Schools, then delivered an afternoon lecture at BSC.
BSC students, faculty, and members of the community attended today’s presentation. Dr. Sudhakar Jamkhandi, Coordinator of International Initiatives at BSC, presented Mr. Pandeya with a certification of appreciation. Since BSC began its affiliation with the Fulbright Visiting Lecture program in 2007, more than 85 Fulbright Scholars have spoken at BSC and throughout the region.
