The Academic Success Center is committed to providing you with the opportunity to build your skills on your own time, at your own pace, and your own convenience. We offer all of our services online. This means you can manage your time, your deadlines, and your responsibilities in ways that make sense to you. We are here to assist you where you are in your educational journey.

Academic Tutoring/Mentoring
Tutoring is provided in almost every class offered at BSU. Not only can we help you if you are having problems in a class, but we can also work with you if you just need a little extra help to make that “A” or “B”. Our peer tutors also serve as mentors to participants and assist them in the “ins and outs” of college life and refer students to appropriate campus resources when necessary. Tutoring is delivered online and in person.

Computer Lab/Writing Lab
The computer lab/writing lab is open from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. The lab is monitored by a computer-knowledgeable student at all times. It is located in the Basic Science Building in Room 101. The computer lab equipment is restricted to ASC participants only. Writing lab services are available online.

Workshops
We provide a wide variety of online workshops to help students improve their academic, organizational, and personal skills.  Topics include writing skills, math skills, knowledge for the classroom, life skills, and major & career.
