Welcome to your first stop at B-State for everything related to your career development! The Office of Career Services provides career counseling, interest assessments, career exploration, hosts the annual Career Fair, and provides a multitude of other resources to assist students and graduates with their careers. Staff in the office will assist with resume construction, cover letters, interview preparation, employment information, arranging on-campus interviews with employers, and assist with referrals for full-time, summer, and part-time employment and internships.
Additionally, students seeking information regarding graduate school can receive assistance to make informed decisions about your future beyond Bluefield State. Students are urged to register with the Office of Career Services at least one semester prior to graduation in order to take full advantage of job interview opportunities. Once a student is registered, an individual credential file is established, containing the students’ resume, references, and transcript. Alumni who seek job referral services are required to register with the Career Services office annually and submit an updated resume and references.
