Giorgi Datashvili made a lengthy journey, literally and figuratively, when he arrived at Bluefield State College in 2016.  A resident of Tbilisi, Georgia, a republic on the Eastern Europe/Western Asia border, he hit his academic stride seamlessly at BSC.

Datashvili earned the “W. Paul Cole, Jr. School of Business’ ‘Most Outstanding Student’” award earlier this year, graduating in May. The accounting major was also a standout tennis player and member of BSC’s perennially strong tennis team.

Very recently, the personable 22-year old accepted an offer of employment from Aronson LLC, recognized nationally as a “Top 50 Public Accounting Firm.” “This is a tremendous accomplishment for Giorgi, and he’s very deserving of the opportunity,” noted Dr. Phillip Imel, Dean of the W. Paul Cole, Jr. School of Business at BSC.

“My starting date will be October 21,” Datashvili said. “I will be joining Aronson’s Assurance team as an Audit Associate. At the same time, I will be studying for the CPA exam. Aronson will provide funding support for the CPA study materials.”

“I learned about Aronson LLC through my LinkedIn account, and after exchanging a few phone calls with their staff, they conducted a three hour interview with me, during which I was able to talk to different members of their team, and I later received the offer.”

Aronson LLC is a Washington, DC area public accounting firm, serving industries ranging from construction, real estate, governmental contracting, professional services, and technology to nonprofit organizations.
