Bluefield State student group to raise awareness of Veteran suicide
Students at Bluefield State College will host a presentation by Ms. Barri Faucett, Director of Suicide Prevention of West Virginia at 11am Wednesday March 29th, 2017 in the Boyd Conference room located in Conley Hall on the BSC Campus.
The objective is to help raise awareness of such an important issue. Recent Veterans face a 50% increase in the rate of suicide over an annual suicide rate of 29.5 per 100,000 Veterans. This rate is roughly 50% higher than the rate among other civilians with similar demographic characteristics. The event is open to the public and campus community.
