An Evening with Bluefield State
Bluefield State Colleges slogan is “Reach New Heights!” Those words make this year’s speaker a great fit for the Bluefield State College Foundation’s Dinner at Fincastle on the mountain! Despite being only 5’7”, Anthony “Spud” Webb proved himself as one of the most exciting point guards in the NBA. As one of the leagues smallest players, Spuds work ethic, speed and agility placed him among the elite athletes of the world. But it was his performance in the league’s annual slam dunk competition, that truly grabbed the world’s attention. With almost all the competitors a full foot taller, Spud flew through the air suspended 6 feet above the floor with amazing agility to win!
Join the Bluefield State College Foundation Board, BSC President Dr. Marsha Krotseng, The Board of Governors and special guest speaker, Spud Webb, for an evening of inspiration and celebration on April 27th at 6pm at Fincastle on the Mountain. Hear Spud’s incredible story and words of encouragement for anyone or any organization seeking to rise to the occasion and find the inner strength to reach new heights! All proceeds from the dinner will fund scholarships.
