BSC student Kashif Alston selected to be Gamma Beta Phi Society Regional Senator
Bluefield State College student Kashif Alston has been selected as one of eight students from throughout the nation to serve as a Gamma Beta Phi Society Regional Senator for the 2021-2022 academic year. Gamma Beta Phi is a collegiate honor society with chapters at more than 80 colleges and universities. GBP members are devoted to serving as both academic and philanthropic leaders within their community.
Alston, an Air Force veteran, is a junior mechanical engineering student at Bluefield State College in West Virginia and a Resident Assistant at the College’s Medical Education Center. His passion for volunteering and being a team leader has enabled him to train US Air Force members, serve as a judge for high school graduation project presentations, and assist BSC students as an unpaid tutor and as a volunteer at Bluefield State athletic events.
