Sandra Wynn Appointed to WV Center for Nursing’s Board of Directors
Sandra Wynn, Director of the Bluefield State College Associate Degree Nursing Program, has been appointed to the West Virginia Center for Nursing’s Board of Directors. Wynn, whose appointment was made by West Virginia Governor Jim Justice, is the Center for Nursing’s Board representative from the West Virginia Board of Examiners for Registered Professional Nurses.
“I am deeply honored to serve as a member of the West Virginia Center for Nursing Board of Directors,” Professor Wynn noted. “As a member of the Board, I will be positioned to be a voice for southern West Virginia and Bluefield State College, advocating for the healthcare needs of our region.”
The West Virginia Center for Nursing improves the health and healthcare of the state’s residents through strategic nursing planning and development. The Center provides scholarships for nursing students and funding for the West Virginia Junior Nurses Academy. Additionally, the Center for Nursing provides data for the West Virginia Legislature to consider in shaping legislation and policy for the purpose of developing and implementing strategies to support the education, recruitment, and retention of qualified nurse professionals for, and in, the State of West Virginia.
