Students and faculty from the W. Paul Cole Jr. School of Business at Bluefield State College participated in the Enactus Fall Collaboration Summit in Atlanta, GA. Representatives from 20 colleges throughout the Southeast took part in the event, which connected students, academic professionals, and business leaders through entrepreneurial-based projects.
BSC students Robert Brown, Jacob Webster, and Ahmad Jeffries accompanied Dr. Albert Berkoh, Associate Professor of Marketing at the Cole School of Business, at the summit. “During the group discussions and presentations, our students performed in outstanding fashion, and they generated sincere interest from major companies’ leadership teams at the program,” Dr. Berkoh noted.
“The experience generated a considerable level of enthusiasm among our students, and they’ve pledged to be ambassadors who will recruit additional students into the Enactus student organization at BSC,” the BSC faculty member added. “They’re also working to identify projects that, when developed, can positively impact the economy of the Bluefield area.”
“Through the Collaboration Summit, we met Enactus students from other colleges and universities,” BSC senior Business major Robert Brown stated. “The business simulation workshops at the event were really effective.”
The Summit’s primary focus was to help students transform opportunities into real, sustainable progress for themselves and their communities, according to event organizers.
