BSC Baccalaureate Nursing Program Receives Maximum Continuing Accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education
The baccalaurete degree program in nursing at Bluefield State College is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (http://www.ccneaccreditation.org). Bluefield State College’s Baccalaureate Nursing (BSN) program was granted continuing national accreditation by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), a national accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. The BSC program received continuing accreditation for the maximum ten year period, through June 30, 2029. CCNE, as the only national accrediting agency to focus exclusively on baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral education programs in nursing education, ensures the quality and integrity of higher education degree programs preparing effective nursing professionals.

About the BSC BSN program
For 30 years, the BSC Baccalaureate Nursing program has provided learning opportunities for acquiring the knowledge base and skills to practice nursing at the professional level. A broad perspective of nursing practices is presented in relation to management, leadership, values and ethics, critical analysis, research, and the application of the nursing process to families and other groups in the communities.
The program was first accredited by the National League for Nursing in 1992 and has attained and maintained continuing national accreditation by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education since 1999. The BSC BSN program is offered in both Bluefield and Beckley.
