When incidents happen and Bluefield State students are involved, the Dean of Students Office & staff works with students to resolve disciplinary matters.  This includes receiving reports of alleged misconduct, ensuring an appropriate hearing process, and maintaining student disciplinary records.

Bluefield State’s Code of Conduct seeks to promote the peaceful pursuit of intellectual and advanced learning opportunities.   There is a basic expectation that all students will conduct themselves with proper regard for the rights of others and of the University.  In addition, students are expected to become familiar with and follow the University and Residence Hall standards for student conduct.  Students are responsible for their actions, and those who violate the Student Code of Conduct will be subject to the student conduct process.  Membership in the Bluefield State University community is a privilege that should be respected.
