Program Overview

Our CAEP-accredited Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (K-6) program prepares candidates to become certified elementary school teachers. Additional endorsements are available in 5-9 General Science, 5-9 English/Language Arts, 5-9 Mathematics, 5-9 Social Studies, and K-6 Multi-Categorical Special Education (with an additional Autism Concentration).  This program provides engaging coursework, immersive field experiences, and hands-on training. Build a strong foundation in teaching and learning principles and prepare to excel in your future teaching career.

By fulfilling these requirements, candidates for this degree will be well-prepared to pursue teaching careers in elementary education.

  1. GPA of 2.5 from university courses.
  2. Meet general admission requirements of Bluefield State University.
  3. Have completed the English and Math general studies requirements.
