Project Success Internship Feature–BSC Student Jeffery Rayfield
Bluefield State College student Jeffery Rayfield’s career goal is to work in a medical setting. He recently completed a BSC Project Success internship opportunity at Mercer Medical Group’s offices in Princeton and Athens, WV to gain a greater understanding the field he will soon enter.
“The Project Success paid internship opportunity showed me what goes on behind the scenes in a medical practice,” Rayfield explained. A Health Services Management senior at Bluefield State, Rayfield is also a student-athlete—a member of the BSC baseball team that won the Black College World Series earlier this year.
“My favorite part of the internship was getting to see the clinical side of things at Mercer Medical Group’s offices, talk with the staff, and learn about their roles and responsibilities,” he continued.
