5th Annual Southern Technical Conference at BSC Attracts Record Audience

 

 

More than 60 engineering professionals attended the 5th annual Southern Technical Conference at Bluefield State College, April 11

“This year’s attendance represented a 20% increase from a year ago,” noted Dr. Kerry Stauffer, BSC Civil Engineering Technology Department Chair and Professor. “The BSC student chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) also facilitated the organization and hosting of the event. The conference provided an excellent opportunity for our students to meet and talk to professionals in the field, and to learn more about their profession.”

Greg Michaelson, a Bluefield State College Engineering Technology alumnus and Assistant Professor/Weisberg Division of Engineering at Marshall University) and John Tuggle, a BSC alumnus and Executive Director/Region 4 Planning and Development Council, were among the speakers at today’s program.
