Online Orientation is the optional program for students not attending the Bluefield State main campus. Students need to complete the following steps and procedures to register for classes:

  1. Receive admission to Bluefield State from the Office of Admissions. Once admitted, students will receive (usually within 24 hours of admission) a Student Identification Number and official email address.
  2. Log on to Bluefield State’s campus portal, myBSU, using your new Bluefield State username and password. If you’ve forgotten your username or password, you can reset it using the Forgot Password link on the long page of myBSU.
  3. Select the Moodle icon. Select the “New Student Orientation: B-State Bound Fall 2022” program.
  4. Complete all sections of the program. Once finished, students can complete the Registration Form. Students will then be contacted to register for classes.
