James Quesenberry came on board with Bluefield State University in the fall semester of 2021 as a visiting instructor of criminal justice. Mr. Quesenberry has an extensive history in the criminal justice field. He began in the criminal justice field working at the Mt. Olive Maximum Security Correctional Facility. He later moved into law enforcement, where he worked with specialized units such as the (ICAC) Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Mr. Quesenberry left law enforcement to open a private investigation and security firm in April of 2016 where he specialized in high-profile security, criminal defense investigations, as well as trial and jury consulting.
In December 2012, Mr. Quesenberry graduated Magna Cum Laude and received the Gold Key award from the American Criminal Justice Association with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Homeland Security from Mountain State University. In May of 2015, he graduated from Walden University with a Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology and was awarded the graduate key from the American Criminal Justice Association. In February of 2017, he obtained a Post Graduate Certificate in Organizational Psychology from Walden University.
