Dr. Yeager is an interdisciplinary scholar. He is a specialist in 19th- and 20th-century American literature, but his teaching interests are widespread. At BSU, Dr. Yeager teaches classes in composition, World literature, English Grammar, and specialized literature classes. Dr. Yeager’s research mostly focuses on the work of John Steinbeck. On top of his duties at BSU, Dr. Yeager is serving as the Vice President of the International Society of Steinbeck Scholars from 2026 to 2029.

Yeager also teaches Philosophy classes at BSU, including Introduction to Philosophy and Introduction to Ethics. Dr. Yeager’s Philosophy classes are heavily informed by the Catholic Intellectual tradition, particularly the works of St. Thomas Aquinas.
