It is no surprise that a school with an amazing history would also have amazing alumni.
Though younger graduates leave Bluefield State to pursue careers in nursing, engineering or business management, being a Bluefield State alumnus remains a lifetime appointment—with opportunities for involvement that can last for decades.
The 33d Annual Klingensmith Cup Golf Tournament
If you love to spend some time playing golf, why not spend it playing for a great reason? The 33d Annual Klingensmith Cup Golf Tournament will be played on Monday, May 13, 2019 at the Wolf Creek Golf Course in Bastian, Virginia. This annual event is sponsored by Bluefield State College’s School of Engineering Technology and Computer Science. All BSC constituents are invited to join in the fun with BSC ET and CS graduates and employers. This tournament allows participants to demonstrate their golf skills and provides a unique setting to renew old acquaintances and to network with others having common interests.

The Office of Alumni Affairs is the liaison between the college and its graduates, assuring that alumni experiences are positive expressions of the past, present and ongoing mission of Bluefield State. To this end, the office works with alumni groups to help organize meetings, reunions and social activities.
Alumni meet on campus informally at homecoming and Founder’s Day and there is a formal reunion every two years. Graduates who join the Alumni Association, with chapters spanning from Mercer County (for local alumni) to Cincinnati and Atlanta, are invited to meet 10 times per year, setting their own activities and fundraisers.
The Office of Alumni Affairs serves as the clearinghouse for these events and activities, and for the collection of Alumni Association membership dues. These dues support scholarships for Bluefield State students on a yearly basis.
Our office is located in the Hatter Hall of the Bluefield campus. Alumni are always welcome and are encouraged to visit whenever they are in the area.
