Overview Learn More College of Health Sciences Welcome to Health Sciences The College of Health Sciences emphasizes quality instruction and personalized advising, ensuring timely completion of degree requirements, and achieving high placement rates for graduates. Our mission is to provide high-quality, affordable and accessible education in nursing, imaging modalities, and health sciences. Our school offers the RN-BSN baccalaureate degree and the associate degree in nursing. It also offers the baccalaureate degree in imaging science and the associate degree in radiologic technology. The baccalaureate in nursing (RN-BSN) and imaging science may be completed as 2+2 programs, both of which are fully online. Additionally, the college offers a baccalaureate degree in allied health education that can be completed as a 4-year program or a 2+2 for working allied health professionals. Students receive extensive clinical experience across all stages of the lifespan. Professional codes of conduct and ethics are emphasized strongly. Radiologic Technology and accelerated LPN-to-RN start in the Summer, while Associate degree in Nursing begins in the Fall. Applications for A.S. Nursing, Accelerated LPN-to-RN, A.S. Radiologic Technology, and Sonography concentration must be submitted annually. Applications are available from September 1 to January 1. Applicant files that are completed by January 31 are given first consideration. The RN-to-BSN application is open year-round. Prior to admission, a physical exam, immunization records, and background check are required, with drug screening conducted as necessary. Health insurance is mandatory. The background check will be completed at the student’s expense through Castle Branch. Students must buy necessary uniforms and equipment. Transportation to and from the University and clinical agencies is the student's responsibility.
