Engineering Management


The Engineering Management program combines engineering and management studies to prepare students for leadership roles in technology-based companies. Through a curriculum that explores the relationships between engineering principles and management tasks such as planning, organization, and leadership, students learn to integrate management systems into various technological environments.

Graduates are equipped for diverse positions in managing engineering projects across industries, including oil, gas, scientific research, and manufacturing, qualifying them for roles in architecture, engineering services, and utilities, where effective engineering management is essential.

How to Apply

Only graduates of an A.S. in Engineering Management program—or an associate’s degree in a technical field approved by the dean—are eligible to apply. In order to qualify, the degree needs to:

  1. Meet all BSU general studies requirements for an associate’s degree.
  2. Encompass at least 60 credit hours.
  3. Include successful completion of at least one calculus, one statistics, and one Computer Aided Drafting course.

What You Need to Graduate


  • Completed general studies curriculum
  • At least 27 credits in EGMT courses
  • Aggregate 2.0 GPA in all courses
