The mission of the Office of Public Safety at Bluefield State is to provide a safe and secure environment for the students, faculty, and guests while attending the college.
Every reasonable effort will be made by the Office of Public Safety to ensure that a learning environment is maintained at the college, while enforcing the rules of Bluefield State and the laws of the community without prejudice or bias within a diverse society.
By virtue of West Virginia state law, Campus Police Officers have the same responsibilities and authority as that of any other law enforcement officers in the state. Officers provide patrol protection to the campus as well as enforce all applicable state and local laws.
