The 40th Annual Klingensmith Cup Golf Tournament will be played on Monday, May 19, 2025 at the Fincastle Golf Course at 1000 Country Club Drive in Bluefield, Virginia. This annual event is sponsored by Bluefield State University’s School of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). All BSU constituents are invited to join in the fun with BSU ET and CS graduates and employers. This tournament allows participants to demonstrate their golf skills and provides a unique setting to renew old acquaintances and network with others having common interests. Proceeds for this event go to the David C. Klingensmith Endowed Scholarship.
The tournament format is set up as a 4-person “captain’s choice” event and play begins with a shotgun start at 10 AM. When play is completed, be prepared for an excellent picnic lunch and the awarding of prizes and trophies.
To enter, the fees are $75 per participant or $300 per team. Students and 2025 graduates will be $30 per entry. The entry fee includes a round of golf, boxed lunch, raffle entries, and snacks/beverages throughout the day.
You are also invited to become a “K Cup” sponsor. We are offering several sponsorship levels, which all provide various opportunities for promoting your business as well as showing your support for the School of Engineering Technology and Computer Science.

- “K Cup” Lunch Sponsor – $500 (includes a sponsorship sign in lunch area)
- “K Cup” Event Sponsor – $2,000 (includes a team of four and sponsorship banner)

The deadline for entry is May 15, 2025.
We encourage participants to enter this tournament as four-person teams if possible. Singles will be grouped into four teams as required to fit the tournament format. If you are a single entrant but have playing partner preferences, please identify them when sending in your entry fee.
