Community Building

The primary focus of Student Support Services is to provide support for academic development and serve to motivate students towards the successful completion of their postsecondary education.
We do this and so much more.
We provide community building programs with leadership and mentoring opportunities that help integrate first-year students and engage upper classmen into the social fabric of the college community. We feel that participating in a college community fosters an engaging and memorable college experience. It also prepares you for a lifetime of building connections and bridges in your career and community.

At BSC Student Support Services we know you are KIND OF A BIG DEAL. That’s why we offer a service points program for our participants. After receiving 20 hours of services, students rise to the rank of “I’m Kind Of A Big Deal” and receive an official big deal pin. After an additional 20 hours of services, students are pinned again at the diamond level. Participants are recognized on BSC Student Support Services social media pages and the SSS Wall of Fame.
