Richlands High School Wins 2019 BSC Humanities Challenge

 

Richlands High School won a suspense-filled title round match with Giles High School to win the championship trophy in the 7th annual Humanities Challenge at Bluefield State College.  The Richlands and Giles teams won several rounds of the tournament-format event before reaching the finals, with the Blue Tornado outlasting the Spartans, 4-3, in the final round.  RHS coach Sheila Ingram (left) and Dr. Sudhakar Jamkhandi (right) are pictured with the Richlands team at the award ceremony.  

The Humanities Challenge was created by the BSC Humanities Department to promote the study and cultivation of language, literatures, the fine arts, music, and writing from around the world.
