Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

January 14 Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony and Program Celebrates New Furnishings and Enhancements in BSC’s Basic Science Building

            A January 14 ribbon-cutting ceremony and program will celebrate the arrival and installation of new academic furniture, smart boards, and more to enhance the learning environment and comfort in the Basic Science Building at Bluefield State College.  The brief program begins at 11 a.m. in the Basic Science Building lobby, followed by the ribbon-cutting.  Refreshments will be served.  The program is open to the college community and the public, and attendees are encouraged to tour the facility after the program. 

 

            Through Title III funding, ten classroom and the student lounge in the Basic Science Building have received a substantial series of upgrades.  New moveable desks permit classrooms to convert from lecture layout to collaborative working groups.  Other improvements include new curtains in each classroom.
