BSC Community Helps 87 "Christmas Angels" Enjoy a Brighter Holiday

BSC Community Pitches In to help Salvation Army Christmas Tree Project

Bluefield State College employees, students, alumni, and community responded to the Salvation Army Princeton/Bluefield’s annual Angel Tree appeal in a big way. Through the response of BSC students and employees, 87 “Christmas angels” will receive gift bags of presents this year through the Salvation Army Angel Tree program.

BSC alumnus and employee Jonathan Childress noted, “The Salvation Army Angel Tree project engaged the BSC family in a project that gives back to the community.”

Rebekah Hatch, Coordinator of Transition and First-Year Programs, was a coordinator of the College’s participation in the Angel Tree project. “”The Salvation Army Angel Tree project was such a blessing to me. I want to thank our BSC faculty, staff, alumni, students, and community for their generosity, kindness, and giving spirit in this time of uncertainty. Everyone came together–it was BEAUTIFUL!”
