BSC Chapter/Kappa Delta Pi Teacher Education Society Inducts New Members

Bluefield State College chapter of Kappa Delta Pi (KDP) Teacher Education Honor Society inducted 12 new members during a recent on-campus ceremony.

Each year, BSC’s School of Education faculty nominate outstanding teacher candidates based on their demonstrated commitment to scholarship, leadership, and stewardship. The BSC KDP chapter inductees this year include:  Amanda Bradley, Breanna Gillespie, Kaitlin Gillespie, Caitlin Gills, Kylie Gwinn, Lyndsay Hatfield, Abbi Martin, Alexis Munsey, Kimberly Treadway, Cuyler “Nick” Wood, Trinity Welch, and Erica Williams.

Kappa Delta Pi (KDP) is an international honor society in Education based on the ideals of Fidelity to Humanity, Science, Service, and Toi,” noted Dr. Amanda Banks, KDP advisor. “Student members of Bluefield State College’s KDP chapter are fully admitted to BSC’s Teacher Education program, have earned at least 30 hours of college credit and 12 hours of Education coursework, and have cumulative GPAs of 3.0 or higher.”
