LibGuides is a hosted, web-based content management system used in libraries worldwide. LibGuides in a more traditional way, which is to create, curate, and publish research and course guides. LibGuides at Bluefield State University are our newest tool to help students, faculty, and staff find information about academic programs, services, and other topics. Our first published LibGuide is the basics of how to conduct research.

Digital Information Literacy

The library provides digital information literacy class instruction, subject specific student digital information research workshops, one on one Web 2.0 mentoring and instruction. In addition, the library offers support to the faculty, students and community at large with all their electronic information needs.

Government Information Services

We provide free public access to a variety of government information for the Bluefield State community, as well as citizens of West Virginia. For assistance with research and to find the government documents, visit the reference desk at the William B. Robertson Library or call the Government Documents Librarian at (304) 327-4053.

When you conduct your research on different database sites, remember to first make a plan of what your topic or search fields need to be. Use the advanced search module within the databases to help you find better articles that align with your search strategy.
