Registration Information

Early registration for the spring 2014 semester will open at 12:01 a.m., Monday, October 22nd. You must see your adviser to discuss the classes you will take and your adviser will give you an Alternate Pin Number which will allow you to enter your classes through the Registration screen of Web Self Service. Or, you may prepare a Registration form and have it signed by your adviser and take it to the office of the Dean of your school or to the Registrar’s Office to have it entered. Early registration is essential to assure that your financial aid will be ready when you return for the spring semester.

You must pay tuition and fees NO LATER THAN 4:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 15, 2014.  Students' schedules will be erased if payment is not received on or before this date; then registration must be completed again on a space-available basis during general registration January 16 and 17, 2014.

New and continuing students on the Bluefield campus who have not early-registered may register on January 16 and 17, 2014, or during the first week of classes.  All students must pay tuition and fees before attending classes.

Federal regulations require adjustment of awards and repayment of excess funds by students who do not begin attendance in courses equaling the number of credit hours shown on the student’s financial aid claim form(s).

Only those students who early-register for Fall Semester classes and who have complete financial aid files will be scheduled to receive financial aid on their pick-up day, provided funds are received from the U.S. Department of Education and/or the lending institution.  Your aid may be delayed if you drop courses for which you early-register between the dates of early registration and fee payment.  Prompt delivery of financial aid funds also is not guaranteed to students who are not registered or who are new.

Financial aid checks will be distributed as follows:

Bluefield Campus: January 13 - 15, 2014
8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Beckley Campus: January 15, 2014
9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Beckley and Lewisburg students

If a student is a recipient of Title IV aid (PELL,EOG Loans, etc) and totally withdraws from the institution prior to the tenth week of the enrollment period, the student will have to repay a portion of their aid according to the federal repayment formula.  For details and clarification, please contact the Financial Aid Office.

Remember, a student may withdraw from class with grade of "W" through the twelfth Friday after the first day of class.
