Early registration for the Summer/Fall 2016 semester will open at 12:01 a.m., Monday, April 4, 2016. You must see your adviser to discuss the classes you will take and your adviser will give you an Alternate Pin Number which will allow you to enter your classes through the Registration screen of Web Self Service. Or, you may prepare a Registration form and have it signed by your adviser and take it to the office of the Dean of your school or to the Registrar's Office to have it entered. Early registration is essential to assure that your financial aid will be ready when you return for the fall semester.

STUDENTS REGISTERING DURING GENERAL REGISTRATION:
New and continuing students on the Bluefield campus who have not early-registered may register on August 11 and 12, 2016, or during the first week of classes. All students must pay tuition and fees before attending classes.
Federal regulations require adjustment of federal financial aid awards and repayment by students who do not begin attendance in courses equaling the number of credit hours processed by financial aid.
Only those students who early-register for Fall Semester classes and who have complete financial aid files by July 1st will receive financial aid on August 8-10. Students who complete their financial aid files between July 1st and the beginning of the fall semester will still be able to start class if they sign a Power of Attorney form after August 8th. Your aid may be delayed to September if you drop courses for which you early-register between the dates of early registration and fee payment. Prompt delivery of financial aid funds also is not guaranteed to students who are not registered or who are new.
FINANCIAL AID CHECKS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED AS FOLLOWS:
REPAYMENT OF FINANCIAL AID
If a student is a recipient of Title IV aid (PELL, SEOG, Loans, etc.) and totally withdraws from the institution prior to the tenth week of the enrollment period, the student will have to repay a portion of their aid according to the federal repayment formula. For details and clarification, please contact the Financial Aid Office.
Remember, a student may withdraw from class with grade of "W" through the twelfth Friday after the first day of class. Also, students with courses scheduled to run during the 8 week term may withdraw from a class with a grade of "W" through the fourth Friday after the first day of class.
NOTE: If you drop an on-line course (BLKBD or MOODLE), you have to complete a DROP slip and turn it into the Registrar's Office to be officially removed from the course roster.
