Minority Scholars in Health Sciences Honors Program
The goal of the Minority Scholars in health Sciences Honors program is to increase the number of minority students who enroll and graduate from BSC health sciences program. At least three academically promising minority students are recruited each year to participate in the Minority Science Honors Program from the health-related sciences such as nursing, pre-medicine, radiology technology or psychology.
Faculty members teaching in the fields identified above are recruited to serve as mentors to students enrolled in the program. The students work with faculty members on various research projects and receive a monthly stipend of $100. Funding for the students is extended for a period of three years depending on academic progress of the students.
