Advisory Committee
The purpose of the Advisory Committee is to build shared commitment to diversity throughout Bluefield State College. The Committee is representative of the greater college community and functions in an advisory role to the Office of Multicultural Affairs for campus wide diversity initiatives. The goals are:
- Identify and promote college community and diversity opportunities/initiatives that involve multiple college constituencies working together.
- Provide guidance in building social justice awareness throughout Bluefield State College.
- Offer learning resources/opportunities in diverse formats to meet the global needs of our students.
The Office of Multicultural Affairs Advisory Committee meets two to three times annually to discuss current activities, initiatives and issues, and strategize on collective action. It is chaired by the Director of Multicultural Affairs.
