Ideas That Work
Through the experience of numerous successful Access Projects implemented since the WVACHE's beginning in 1993, we have learned a great deal about what strategies are most effective at encouraging Appalachian students to aspire to and prepare for college. Best of all, many of these strategies can be implemented at little or no cost.
Below is a compilation of Ideas That Work, with contributions from K-12 and college coordinators throughout the 29 counties of Appalachian Ohio. Click on a link to find more detail about that strategy, as well as contact information and downloadable resources, if applicable, to help others replicate the strategy.
