Bluefield State College, an HBCU, has emerged as a four-year state supported college serving southern West Virginia with a primary thrust in the direction of career and technical two and four year programs. The liberal arts offerings of the College are focused to enhance its unique mission. Bluefield State College is seeking applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at Assistant/Associate Professor rank in Accounting. Requires a master's degree in accounting or MBA with an accounting concentration, and an earned doctorate in accounting, business or related field. All faculty positions include a minimum 12 credit teaching load (may include web based or interactive video instruction and/or courses at off-campus locations), academic advising, as well as participation in school committees and College governance. The successful candidate will demonstrate evidence of the potential for excellence in teaching, dedication to College and community service, and an active research agenda. Applicants must have an earned doctorate by June 1, 2013. Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience. Positions are dependent upon available funding.
