Called Meeting

May 9, 2002 

Members Present:        Norris Kantor, Frank Wilkinson, Carol Baldwin, Lyn Guy (via phone), Jack Caffrey (via phone), Garry Moore (via phone), Burt Clark (via phone), Ann Crowe 

Members Absent:        Steve Bourne, Ruth Payne Brown 

Guest:  Robert E. Moore, Vivian Sidote 

Mr. Kantor brought the meeting order at 4 p.m. in the Jefferson-Harris Student Center, private dining room. 

A motion was made and second (Caffrey/Guy) to approve the Procedures for President Search and Selection. Motion carried. 

Mr. Kantor indicated that a Chair and Vice Chair need to be elected for the Search and Screening Committee. A motion was made and second (Caffrey/Guy) to appoint Mr. Norris Kantor as chair of the search and screening committee. Motion carried. 

A motion was made and second (Guy/GMoore) to appoint Mr. John Barnes as Vice Chair for the Search an Screening Committee. Motion carried. 

A motion was made and second (Guy/GMoore) to go into executive session at 4:20 to consider Interim President. The governor board reconvene into regular session at 4:50 p.m. 

With no other business to transact, the meeting adjourned at 5:00 p.m.
