BSC Model U.N. Team Competes in Prestigious Invitational Competition at University of California/Berkeley
The Bluefield State College Model United Nations team is participating in the prestigious University of California/Berkeley Model United Nations Conference. This invitational event includes the nation's most successful Model UN teams. BSC MUN advisor John White calls the invitation to compete in the UCal event "a tremendous honor. It's very likely that we received the invitation as a result of our "Best Delegation" award two years ago at the University of Chicago, during the North American Model UN Conference," he observed. The Bluefield State College team will represent South Korea during the conference in Berkeley. BSC is the only institution of higher education in West Virginia participating in this competition. Among the other colleges and universities in this invitational Model UN competition are Case Western, Northwestern, the University of Chicago, the University of Toronto, and the Air Force Academy. The BSC student team includes Kurt Ziegler, Chris Beaman, Kevin Long, Nick Lafferty, Shane Janutolo, Tom Perkins, Bill Magarowicz, Clayton Woods, Lisa Musolin, and Margaret Clark.
