Nine Russian Entrepreneurs Take Part in Area Training Programs Customized by Center for International Understanding at BSC
Nine entrepreneurs from Novgorod, Russia recently attended a program on entrepreneurism. Tim Oxley, Executive Director of the Center for Economic Action at Concord College presented the program as part of the Appalachian Community Connections Project, designed and implemented by Dr. Sudhakar Jamkhandi, Director of the Center for International Understanding at Bluefield State College. The five-week Appalachian Community Connections Project includes short-term internships that expose new and young entrepreneurs from Russia to American business practices. The project is sponsored by the United States Information Agency to promote trade dialogue between different regions of the United States and Russia.
