World Aids Days Observances Slated at BSC, December 1-4
A series of activities has been planned for the observance of "World AIDS Days," December 1-4 at Bluefield State College. In conjunction with the South Central AIDS Network (SCAN), BSC will host a "World AIDS Day" Health Fair, December 1-4 in the lobby of the Basic Science Auditorium. Several community service organizations will participate in the Health Fair, providing AIDS education information. On Tuesday, December 2, the puppet show "Adventures of Buttons and Bows McKitty" will be presented in the Tierney Center Auditorium, Dickason Hall, beginning at 6 p.m. The puppet show will be followed by the video, "Camp Amongus." There will be free coloring books and crayons for children, and AIDS education literature for parents at this event, and refreshments will be provided by the BSC Campus Life office. On Thursday, December 4, poet Elaine Blue and the Cabell Minority AIDS Council will deliver a dramatic presentation "AIDS Education Through The Arts," beginning at 11 a.m. in the Student Union. A panel of the AIDS quilt will also be on display, December 1-4 in the Hebert Gallery, BSC Student Union.
