The Curriculum Advisory Committee for the new associate degree Lodging Operations program at the Greenbrier Community College Center of Bluefield State College met recently to provide input. Advisory Committee members include Rod Stoner (The Greenbrier Resort), Ashby Berkley (Pence Springs Hotel), Tootie O'Flahery (Swift Level), Leslee McCarty (Current B and B), Marlene Ferguson (State Fair of WV), John McIlhenney (Lewisburg Visitor Center), Cary Butler (Snowshoe Mountain Resort), Nan Morgan (General Lewis Inn), Cheryl Griffith, Natalie Sandell (Creek Side), Rhonda Floyd (Super 8 Motel), Cara Hefner (Pocahontas Tourism Commission), Mary Pearl Compton (WV House of Delegates), Dr. David Perkins (GCCC Director), Dr. Lessor of mat advise the College regarding courses and content, serve as a liaison with the community to share information about the program, and assist in career placement of graduates. The establishment of the Lodging Operations Program Advisory Committee represents a significant step in strengthening the quality and usefulness of the program,'" Dr. Perkins noted. "The advice we receive will benefit both program participants and lodging employees in the Greenbrier Valley."
