Certified Professional Secretary Examination (CPS) Class Offered at GCCC
The Greenbrier Community College Center of Bluefield State College will offer a course for professional secretaries and office managers wishing to review and prepare for the "Certified Professional Secretary Examination." The course will review principles and theories pertinent to secretaries and office managers, and is designed to prepare students to sit for the one-day, three-part "Certified Professional Secretary Examination," given in May and November.
The Certified Professional Secretary (CPS) rating earned by professionals who pass the examination serves as evidence that the secretary/office manager is skilled, not only in office practice, but also in economics, business law, accounting, and management. The CPS examination is developed and administered by the Professional Secretaries, International.
The CPS Review Course will be offered for the first time on BSC's Greenbrier Community College Center campus in Lewisburg during the spring semester, 1997. Enrollment will be conducted at GCCC on January 9-10, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. each day. The CPS Review Course will begin on January 13, and will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays ( 6 p.m.-7:15 p.m.) through May 7. For more information, interested professionals may contact the GCCC office at (304) 645-3303.
