BSC R&D Corporation Receives $16K Research Grant

(Bluefield)—The Bluefield State College Research and Development Corporation has Received a $16,000 research grant funded by the Herbert Henderson Office of Minority Affairs. The research proposal, entitled "Toward Understanding the Effects of Internet-based Health Education and Tools for Improving Healthy Eating Habits among African-Americans in Appalachia West Virginia" was developed by Dr. Anthony T. Woart, Professor of Sociology/Director, Minority Health Institute and Dr. Jenelle N. Robinson, Assistant Professor and Health Sciences Program Director, Department of Health Human Performance and Leisure Studies at West Virginia State University.
Dr. Woart and Dr. Robinson will serve as Co-Principal Investigators in collaboration with the Herbert Henderson Office of Minority Affairs' Executive Director, Dr. Carolyn Stuart to conduct the study.
