The Bluefield State College Model UN has released a PowerPoint Presentation (PPP) entitled "Welcome to BSC Model UN" to help explain what Model United Nations is and to invite students to join the BSC Model UN team. The PPP is 42 minutes long and is automatically self-advancing, as well as programmed to play in a continuous loop until manually stopped. The PPP explains the genesis and purpose of the United Nations, created after WWII; the founding documents, including the UN Charter and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights; the history of the Model UN; the primary activities of the BSC Model UN, including participating in the American Model UN International Conference every November in Chicago, hosting the BSC Model UN Conference on the BSC campus every December, and either participating in a Model UN Conference in New York City in the Spring or another similar conference or visiting the UN Headquarters in New York City. Texts, Course Content, and Learning Outcomes are also described. Regional high school Model UN directors will be receiving copies of the "Welcome to BSC Model UN" PPP shortly along with their invitations to participate in this year's BSC Model UN Conference on the BSC campus on December 17th and 18th, 2013.

All are invited to view the "Welcome to BSC Model UN" at the following link: http://webservices.bluefieldstate.edu/Presentations/Welcome%20to%20BSC%20Model%20UN%20final%20showtime%20loop.mp4
