BSC Chapter/Kappa Delta Pi Teacher Ed. Honor Society Inducts New Members and Elects Officers

The Bluefield State College chapter of Kappa Delta Pi Teacher Education Honor Society welcomed 15 new members during a recent initiation ceremony at the College.  New members included (seated/left-to-right) Kay Diem, Joanna Post, Traci Sexton, Amy Nelson, (standing l-to-r) Danielle Clarkson, Brentney Avis, Micah Owen, Alvin Hibbitts, Christina Fox, and Stephanie Workman (members not pictured—Heather Wall, Sarena Judy, Savanna Morgan, and Caitlin Russell).

New officers were recently elected by the Bluefield State College chapter of Kappa Delta Pi Teacher Education Honor Society.  They include (seated, left-to-right) Danielle Clarkson (secretary) Brentney Avis (treasurer), (standing l-to-r) Joanna Post (vice president) and Micah Owen (president).

(Bluefield)—The Bluefield State College chapter of Kappa Delta Pi (KDP) Teacher Education Honor Society inducted 14 new members during a recent ceremony in the Hebert Gallery, Harris-Jefferson Student Center at the College. “Kappa Delta Pi is the national teacher education honor society, recognizing teacher education students who exhibit excellent school and college leadership and community service skills, while also holding 3.0 or better grade point average,” noted Dr. Darrell Thompson, BSC KDP advisor and Coordinator/Field Experiences, BSC School of Education. The initiation ceremony welcomed new members Kay Diem, Joanna Post (vice president), Traci Sexton, Amy Nelson, Danielle Clarkson (secretary), Brentney Avis (treasurer), Micah Owen (president), Alvin Hibbitts, Christina Fox, Stephanie Workman, Heather Wall, Sarena Judy, Savanna Morgan, and Caitlin Russell.
