African American History Month Activities at Bluefield State College

(Bluefield)—February is African American History Month; a special time to celebrate the contributions of African Americans to our nation’s culture and to the culture of the world.  The following schedule of African American History Month activities at Bluefield State College is the result of collaboration efforts across the College: Office of Multicultural Affairs, Office of Student Life, Office of Alumni Affairs and BSC Student Government Association.  All events are free and open to the public.

African American History Bowl – organized by Student Life and SGA

February 23, 2011

A celebration of African American Heritage through history, music, storytelling and ethnic foods – organized and sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Affairs

Student-led African American Heritage Dialogue Sharing – organized and sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Affairs and Office of Alumni Affairs
