The Bluefield State College Student Life Office introduced an African-American History poster display with a ribbon-cutting ceremony recently. The exhibit, a featured activity in BSC’s celebration of Black History Month, will be on display throughout the month of February in the Hebert Gallery, Harris-Jefferson Student Center. Pictured (left-to-right) during the opening ceremony are Kristen Williams (Ms. BSC), Shelia Johnson (Vice President for Financial & Administrative Affairs), Dr. Thomas Blevins (Dean of the Virtual College, Technology and the School of Education; Professor, English/Education), Dr. Albert Walker (President), John Cardwell (Vice President for Student Affairs & Enrollment Management) and Montoya Kemp (BSC’s Student Government Association President and Mr. BSC). The exhibit is open to the public, free of charge, 8 a.m.-4 p.m., weekdays.
