Dr. Thomas Blevins, Director of Bluefield State College's Instructional Technology Center, Center for Extended Learning, and Academic Computing, has been selected to deliver a presentation at the League for Innovation in the Community College's 1997 "Conference on Information Technology."
His presentation, "Planning, Delivering, and Evaluating Distance Learning Content through Instructional Performance Systems Software (IPSI)" will be a featured activity in the four-day conference, October 12-15, in Atlanta, GA.
IPSI consists of "CourseBuilder," "Lesson Builder," "Grade/Folio Book," and "ExamTaker." "This expert system provides a pedagogical model which prompts faculty in the appropriate instructional design of learner outcomes, syllabus/course outline, and lesson plans, and matches exam items to the content goals and the appropriate learning theory.
