Several special interest classes will be offered during the spring semester 1997 at the Greenbrier Community College Center of Bluefield State College.
"Applied Studies in Language Arts (ENGL 235)" will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays, 6 p.m.-7:15 p.m. at GCCC, beginning January 13. This general purpose journalism class teaches students to prepare a newsletter, literary publication, and/or news releases. The course provides information very valuable to club/organization officers.
"Marriage & Family Relations (SOCI 224)" meets Tuesdays, 7:25 p.m.-10:05 p.m., beginning January 14. The course deals with the psychological factors inherent in marriage and family relations. Specific attention will be devoted to a practical discussion and learning about the roles of love, communication, and trust in the successful family.
"Selling/Sales Management (MRKT 272)" meets on Mondays and Wednesdays, 4:40 p.m.-5:55 p.m., beginning January 13. The course is designed for the small business person. It involves a general study of selling and sales management, including the roles of prospecting, approach, presentation, persuasion, and closing the sale. Other course topics include a discussion of legal and ethical issues, as well as sales demonstrations and projects.
