The Bluefield State College Alumni Association (BSCAA) has announced the awarding of scholarships to 14 BSC students for the 2011-2012 year. (Bluefield)—The Bluefield State College Alumni Association (BSCAA) has announced the awarding of scholarships to 14 BSC students for the 2011-2012 year. Each student receives a $1,000 BSCAA scholarship.

This year's BSCAA scholarship recipients include Brianna Wade, Garcia Hanna, Amber Fitzgerald, Ajo Bayo, Cassandra Jaboin, Kelly Pawlowski, Vicki Haynes, Lawanna Gravely, Musa Nyassi, Marcin Majchrzak, Shikhar Kapur, Dusan Zivkovic, Vlad Catlan, and Kharles Mwalo.

Since its establishment, BSC Alumni Association has supported educational opportunities through its scholarship program at BSC. In addition, the BSCAA has contributed to several College-related initiatives. The BSCAA scholarship committee's membership includes Ora Johnson, Virginia Hebert, Velma Bradshaw, and Ergie Smith, and the BSC Alumni Association President is Orlando Henderson.
