Bluefield)—“Iron Jawed Angels,” a moving documentary about the women’s suffrage movement, will be shown at Bluefield State College on Monday, March 28 at 11 a.m. in the Hebert Gallery, Harris-Jefferson Student Center. Free admission is provided. The program is sponsored by the West Virginia Women’s Commission.
“The film focuses upon young activists who take the women’s suffrage movement by storm, putting their lives at risk to help American women win the right to vote,” noted Christina Brogdon, Director/Office of Human Resources at Bluefield State College and site coordinator for the program at BSC.
Following the 90-minute film, the West Virginia Women’s Commission and West Virginia Free will coordinate a discussion to encourage advocacy and involvement in state government.
